Motorcycles was established in 1996 for the purpose of assisting British
motorcycle enthusiasts of the period of 1945 through 1975 with parts,
accessories, and restoration. While we repair and restore classic British
motorcycles from BSA to Vincent and Brough to Rudge our focus is the
Velocette swing arm frame models from 1956 through 1971.Velocette was the sequential British single cylinder motorcycle built by a family owned business and are credited with many innovations during the formative and classic periods of motorcycle development. Velocette did, in fact, invent the first positive stop transmission gear shift linkage. Their innovative approach to engineering and manufacturing excellence allowed Velocettes to be very successful in setting endurance records along with pre and post WWII Grand Prix racing. They were second only to Norton in the total number of MANX TT wins.. At Dave Smith Classic Motorcycles, we eat, sleep, and breath
Velocette. We endeavor to keep the Velocette tradition going by
providing quality parts and restoration services for the enthusiast.
