"At Dave Smith Classic Motorcycles we believe motorcycle restoration is an art form . . ."

. . . With the expert use of our internal facilities, coupled with the experienced and capable outside finishing services, we offer top quality restoration services.

Each restoration is striped down to the bare frame. Then the entire motor cycle is remanufactured throughout. For example, all chassis components are inspected then repaired or refurbished as needed. The entire chassis assembly is mounted on a large plate where the steering head and swing arm assembly is aligned.

We use only the highest quality components and processes. We offer either cadmium plated or stainless steel fasteners. Stainless steel fasteners are offered as cold headed, bead blasted, or polished finish. Painted surfaces can be either enamel or urethane painted, or powder coated. Our powder coating supplier is prepared to mix custom colors to meet individual needs.

We invite perspective customers to visit our shop to view the quality of our work. There are always several motorcycles under restoration. They are available to review methods of restoration and discuss options for your own personal needs.

We are prepared to restore all or part of your Velocette or other British motorcycle. Frame up restorations start at $8,000 for a complete motorcycle with salvageable components. At the $8,000 starting price, all parts are restored or replaced including bearings, primary drive, wheel building with polished stainless steel spokes, polishing, plating, and more. Engine and transmission internal parts plus frame and tin ware replacement are extra. The 1959 Velocette 500cc Venom Clubman shown on our home page arrived as a complete example and was restored as shown for $8,700.

We invite your inquiries and look forward to discussing your needs.
